EDIT: Fixed the shading on the face. She looks so much better, now
aaaaah I'm in love with this. I tried to actually shade this time, and it (somewhat) turned out! Her face looks hella weird, though.
Merci is supposed to be the "demon" side to Jay. While she doesn't transform into her at any point, she had a huge influence over her decisions and mood.

Much like Jay's feathers attached to her ear that transform into an eagle to be her pal, Merci's thorns attached to her ear transform into a claw-like hand. Merci is also huge, making it very easy for her to intimidate and control Jay.

Now, this character was sort of created on a whim. I had such a shitty time these past few weeks. My phone was stolen, I failed my first exam, a friend of mine passed away, and so many more little things, that I swear, one more thing and I would have snapped. Nothing could have gotten me feeling better, despite me always trying. So, in order to release some stress, I drew this. Jay was supposed to be underneath the hand, showing how she fears Merci, and how Merci dominates her. But, Jay wasn't turning out right. I had this sketch sitting in my book for a few days, and after this weekend when my parents came to visit, I feel much better. I wanted to make this digital, so instead of still using Jay in the picture, I just decided to make a character out of her. And because I'm a lazy ass, this is going to be her reference.

Merci is a little different structure wise than Jay, in that she has more cat-like ears, rather than lion, and has the tufts on her ears. She is also much, much larger than Jay.
Full name: Merciless, goes by Merci [Full name pronounced murr-sil-ess, nickname pronounced mare-see]
